Enveloped by native eucalyptus trees and sprawling shrubs across 18.3 hectares, this unique sanctuary boasts a tranquil pond, a reflective lake, and a picturesque garden bridge, complemented by a network of well-maintained walking tracks. Witness the garden's enchanting transformation into a vibrant paradise during the seasons of Spring and Autumn.

Access :

By Car : 2 hours drive from Sydney via Great Western Highway

By Train : 2 hours from Central Station to Blackheath Station, then 20 min walk to the Gardens 

What to bring/wear :

* Water

* Hat

* Sunscreen

* Notepad & pen (for a nature journal)

* Good hiking/walking shoes

* Long sleeve shirts/trousers

Note : 

* The walking track has limited wheelchair accessibility, offering partial rather than full access.

* Please pay Entry fee of $5 to the Gardens by donation, payable at the Information Booth by cash or card.

The Charles Darwin Walk in Wentworth Falls offers a serene setting for forest bathing, surrounded by lush eucalypt forests, flowing creeks, and vibrant native flora. This gentle walking track invites you to slow down, engage your senses, and immerse yourself in nature's tranquility.

With the calming sounds of Jamison Creek, birdsong, and the earthy scent of the forest, this walk provides a rejuvenating experience.  Close to the iconic Wentworth Falls, this trail combines the healing effects of both forest and water, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation and connection with nature.

Meeting/Starting  location :

Wilson Park, Wentworth Falls (5 min walk from Wentworth Falls Station)

Ending  location :

Wentworth Falls Picnic Area

 

NOTE :

Charles Darwin walk (part of Grand Cliff Top walk) is closed between Fletcher Street and Weeping Rock. Detours are in place, redirecting walkers along a car road from Fletcher Street to the Wentworth Falls picnic area. (20 min walk)

Access :

By Car : 1.5 hours drive from Sydney via Great Western Highway (Free car park)

By Train : 2 hours from Central Station to Wentworth Falls Station, then 5 min walk to the park.
