The Tree We Remember

Do you have a favourite tree with a story to tell?

Somewhere in your memory, there may be a tree.

You might not think of it often…
but when it appears, it feels strangely familiar —
as if it has been quietly waiting for you.

🍃 A tree from childhood
🍃 A tree that witnessed an important moment
🍃 A tree you returned to, again and again

🍃 These trees become part of our story

During a recent Forest Bathing walk, someone shared a memory of a tree with such honesty that it lingered with me long after the walk ended.

It made me realise how many of us carry these quiet connections and how rarely we take the time to remember them, or to share them.

So I created “The Tree We Remember.”

A space to gather these stories before they fade.

This project will only exist through the voices of people like you.

Your memory - whether simple or deeply personal - is enough.

It doesn’t need to be beautifully written.
It doesn’t need to be long.
It just needs to be real.

Please pause for a moment and ask yourself:

  • Is there a tree you can still picture clearly?

  • A tree connected to a person, a place, or a turning point?

  • A tree you felt something for, even if you didn’t understand why?

If something comes to mind… this is your invitation.

By sharing your story, you are helping to create something meaningful!

A growing collection of memories that reflect how deeply trees are woven into our lives.

Selected stories may be gently shared in the future (with your permission),
so others can feel, remember and reconnect in their own way.

This is a small project, but it begins with one story.

Perhaps yours.
